Optoelectronic switches are used for the detection of limit levels in liquids. This detection is mostly independent of the physical characteristics of the liquids, such as refractive index, density, dielectric constant and conductivity.
The absence of any moving parts and the standard compact design characterise the instruments. A high media compatibility is ensured through a measuring tip from borosilicate or quartz glass and a robust stainless steel case.
